GDH is seeking a Program Manager to work on-site in Topeka, KS supporting a Healthcare client and leading their PMO.
Common Knowledge and Skill areas:

- Industry: MMIS/Medicaid Industry sector experience. MITA a plus
- Communication skills: Excellent verbal, written and presentation with the ability to represent the company at external customer and industry events; Ability to develop and present high impact messages to executive level management.
- Client Relationship skills: Ability to build & manage strong customer relationship at the executive level; Excellent influence and negotiation skills.
- Business skills: Ability to apply business management, financial concepts and contracts knowledge to analyze business needs and develop recommendations; Ability to understand and analyze an issue or problem to develop & implement a corrective action plan; Ability to proactively & effectively manage risk on high to very high risk projects; Contributes to strategic account plan.
- Technical & Process skills: Applies appropriate technical knowledge and methods to resolve complex business issues; Consistently applies Quality & Continuous Improvement Plans.
- Leadership skills: Ability to build and manage across towers, cross business team for effective and efficient customer support; Coaches & mentors others


- Leads customer engagement to ensure that it meets all scope, time, budget and quality expectations, through planning, controlling and managing customer projects.
- Manages corporate, customer and third party vendor efforts to plan, sell and implement solutions to customer problems.
- Responsible for business as well as team management
Education and Experience Required:
- First level university degree. Advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years experience in project management or in like roles/businesses.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Demonstrates an in-depth knowledge of key operational policies, processes and methodologies applicable to project management.
- Recognized as a leader in the PM Professional community.
- PMP Certified. 
- Manages customer project delivery for large complex Programs/projects
- Manages high risk and complexity
- Manages project financials including P&L
- Meets or exceeds approved budgets
- Provides reliable financial forecasts to leadership team
- Identifies and develops new opportunities with the client and acts as opportunity manager for high risk deals
- Manages client relationships.
- Manages complex multi-function relationships with senior and executive ('C' level) client management
- Communicates the direct value our capabilities will provide to our business partners and customers
- Oversees project team - Manages internal as well as external resources with a team size greater than 40 people
- Mentors and encourages skill development of project team members through others.
- Provides detail performance review input and development recommendations for key contributors
- Mentors others, providing a role model and support for individual development.
