Job Description

- Create reciprocating plunger/piston pump and centrifugal pump skidded unit general arrangement layout drawings
- Create reciprocating plunger/piston pump and centrifugal pump skidded detailed fabrication and machining drawings per requirement and sketch.
- Work with application engineers and sales personnel for cost efficient design.
- Recommend efficient methods of assembly on equipment to manufacturing and assembly personnel.
- Redesign existing structures to improve serviceability.
- Perform other work related tasks as required.
- Use more independent judgment in performing assignments and receives minimal supervision.
- Deal with complex projects demanding experience and detail.
- Recommend changes to the engineers after construction of the pump units.

Qualifications
- 2 yrs advanced training in mechanical drafting and 2D and 3D Modeling
- 3 yrs or more of mechanical design experience OR an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Additional experience and training is desirable.
- 3 yrs minimum of drafting experience
- Experience on AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Microsoft Office
- Experience on General Arrangement layouts, detailed drawings, Bill of Materials
- Must have mechanical aptitude
- Experience on structural welding and fabrication
- Familiar with engines, electric motors, gear reducer, pipes, flanges and fittings.
- Good communication and time management skills
- Extensive knowledge of mechanical design and associated software.
- Knowledge of Engineering Standards and Procedures.
- Knowledge of machine shop operations.
- Knowledge of metal types and grades.
- Knowledge of algebra, geometry and trigonometry.
- Knowledge of available hardware and fasteners.
- Knowledge of safety, stress, and conflict aspects.
