Job Description


Qualification - 7+ years system integration and data management within a software development/engineering environment preferred - 5+ years data modeling and data warehouse experience - 1 year of Agile development - 1 year experience with the development and management of QlikView - 3+ years in data integration across disparate application environments (Microsoft, Unix, AS400, cloud, Oracle, composite services) Key Day to Day Responsibilities - Lead work sessions with users to define their reports and BI requirements - Work with the Application Development team to implement data strategies, build data flows and develop conceptual data models. - Create logical and physical data models using best practices to ensure high data quality and reduced redundancy. - Optimize and update logical and physical data models to support new and existing projects. - Maintain conceptual, logical and physical data models along with corresponding metadata. - Develop best practices for standard naming conventions and coding practices to ensure consistency of data models. - Recommend opportunities for reuse of data models in new environments. - Validate business data objects for accuracy and completeness. - Analyze reporting requirements and propose appropriate solutions. - Develop data models according to company standards. - Guide System Analysts, Engineers, Programmers and others on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces. - Examine new application design and recommend corrections if required. - Lead the rollout of Reporting and Business Intelligence tools. Additionally - Experience and Qualifications - Ability to execute high quality, consistent, on-time results, with a keen attention to detail - Self-starter, able to work independently, able to succeed in a fast-paced, high intensity start-up environment - Effective oral and written communications skills. Ability to elicit and communicate technical and non-technical information in a clear and concise manner - Strong problem solving and analytical skills with experience analyzing data necessary to resolve issues uncovered and related to source data - Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills with ability to manage multiple simultaneous customer projects - Ability to evaluate and interpret end user information requirements, and to develop and implement appropriate technical solutions
