Title: Avaya Voice/UC Engineer

Location: Fairfax, VA

Duration: 12 Months +

Clearance Required: Secret

GDH is seeking an Avaya Voice / UC Engineer to work on-site in Fairfax, VA for a long-term contract with a Federal client.

  • The Avaya Voice/UC Engineer is responsible for software programming, testing, and deploying new users and capabilities on an existing platform.  Will conduct lab analysis to test technical solutions, and deploy capabilities, as well as to solve technical issues, consider potential integration opportunities, and understand performance/scalability issues. 
  • The Voice Engineer will also support the customer in researching and understanding the hardware/platform requirements for new features and capabilities.  This role will require candidates who are not only extremely technically knowledgeable but also have strong communications skills to effectively communicate with federal customers and perform small-scale end-user training. Incumbent will be required to develop written products and technical reports highlighting findings and recommendations.

Required Experience:

  • Supported multiple Avaya platforms including Avaya Aura Contact Centers.
  • CMS: Avaya’s Call Management System.
  • System Platform: maintained hardware for 6.0 and above
  • Session Manager: SIP routing engine
  • VOIP hardware, trunks and telephone instruments
  • G450 (with Local Survivable Processor) utilized for local trunking and as a survivable server.
  • G860: used to connect the LD T3s trunked out as SIP T1s to the CM 6.0
  • Avaya One-X products
  • SIP Trunking

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in technical related major or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years direct applicable experience working with Avaya VOIP and UC related products.
  • Demonstrable design, deployment, administration, configuration, integration, maintenance, and troubleshooting experience with Avaya Voice/Unified Communications solutions, with a high emphasis on hands-on design and implementation experience
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively in both written and verbal form.
