Job Description

GDH Consulting is seeking candidates for a remote Tech Writer position to provide documentation support for engineering and Project Management.  This includes product installation and administration guides, operational flows and procedures, end user training guides, and policy agreements with customers.

Requirements

•        Minimum 5 years working with technical staff to collaborate on and create procedural documentation

•        Ability to understand complex information and communicate information to people with diverse backgrounds

•        Experience with Cisco Networking Infrastructure

•        Experience in Software Development environments

•        Experience in working in an Agile fashion with Software Development team

•        Excellent verbal and written communication skills

•        Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including: Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint

•        Proficiency in using pictures, diagrams, and charts to increase users’ understanding

•        Ability to create new templates based on technical content related to users

•        Ability to proactively suggest documentation requirements in a new environment

•        Familiarization with Atlassian Jira and Confluence collaboration tools

•        Excellent organizational skills

•        Proficiency in English language

•        Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred

•        Experience using Styles to format Word documents

•        Experience with Content Management Platforms/Document Repositories (Documentum, SharePoint, etc.)

•        Experience in DevOps
