Job Description

GDH's client is seeking a Product Manager with experience managing software, web, and API products in an Agile Product environment.

Within this team, there is a strong client focus, building product-based solutions for top automotive brands. You will be responsible for both new product development and feature enhancements of existing products that could be owned by other teams.

A successful candidate will be passionate about expanding our product functionality, demonstrate composure when dealing with demanding clients, and be comfortable talking directly with customers and internal stakeholders.

As a Product Manager, you are a key member of the product team, and are responsible for delivering customer value with each development team sprint. You have experience managing a product lifecycle from inception through implementation. You can successfully deliver value to the customer by defining & documenting client requirements, appropriately managing priorities, and validating that customer expectations are met. The Product Manager must also possess a strong technical background in order to work closely with technical leadership to understand and prioritize the technical needs of the platform.

To be successful as a Product Manager, you are comfortable navigating internal and external challenges to ensure that product roadmap, requirements, and deliverables are all in alignment.

Responsibilities


• Work closely with Clients, Stakeholders, Scrum Team Members, and other Product Managers to deliver solutions that meet & exceed expectations

• Define feature & solution requirements for web-based solutions across both desktop and mobile platforms

• Develop & deliver Client Roadmaps, consisting of both Client and Company priorities

• Prioritize work across multiple Clients in time-sensitive environment

• Collaborate with Engineering technical leadership

• Prioritize and maintain the product backlog

• Lead and participate in various Agile ceremonies including Sprint Reviews, Stakeholder Meetings, Daily Scrum, and Retros

• Consistently manage stakeholder expectations

• Transparently and quickly address opportunities and issues

• Other responsibilities as defined

What We Look For:


• Bachelor’s degree within a related field of study or equivalent work experience

• 5 years of relevant experience within a software development organization

• Relevant experience should include software, website development, and API products & services

• Experience working in an Agile (Scrum) based environment

• Understanding of business drivers and how those relate to software delivery

• Experience managing a software product lifecycle, including Client roadmaps

• Appropriate technical depth in order to fluently converse with developers

• Strong oral, written, and presentation as well as strong interpersonal skills

• Automotive industry experience is desirable but not required
