Job Description

GDH has partnered with a Houston based Oilfield Equipment manufacturer to offer this Outside Sales position. 

The Houston based company focuses on providing proprietary equipment to land, shallow and deep offshore markets.  The company builds on strengths in design and quality, and the wealth of experience, knowledge and data built up over decades of designing products for the oil & gas industry. 

Position Purpose: Will play a key role in our plans for growth and aggressive expansion into the Land Based Oil and Gas industries. Secure and expand future projects with established accounts as well as develop and expand new land-based drilling/rig manufacturer opportunities. 

Proactively and strategically develop markets for the company’s products in oil & gas land completions and drilling markets. Current market targets are Land Oil & Gas Operator Completions groups and Drilling Contractors.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

•        Develop good customer relationships by personal visits, phone calls, follow-ups, e-mails, etc.

•        Communicate the unique benefits of the company’s products to the customers.

•        Maintain strong relationship with customers for future business growth.

•        Assist the company in preparing market plans and strategies to promote company’s products.

•        Provide input to develop marketing materials to communicate the message to the customer.

•        Prepare effective proposals, presentations, demonstrations and sales tool on the products.

•        Assist the team in quotations activities like price and delivery negotiations with customers.

•        Identify new product development opportunities and provide marketing, design and application inputs.

•        Liaison with engineering team to develop product design feedback based on market and application inputs.

•        Establish and maintain a customer relations management database.

•        Work with internal teams to achieve targeted business goals.

•        Suggest marketing campaigns, trade shows, print ads, etc. to increase company’s recognition.

•        Attend trade shows, conferences and marketing events plus make presentations to industry groups.

•        Travel Territory:  United States, 30%

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES:

•        Knowledge of ABS, DNV and applicable standards a plus

•        Microsoft Office products

•        High energy level, attention to detail, enthusiasm, aggressive and excellent communication skills.

QUALIFICATIONS / PRIOR EXPERIENCE:



•                 Technical Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred)



•                 5 to 10 years of relevant oil and gas experience with land fracking, completions, and drilling



•                 Minimum of 5 years selling equipment and/or service in the oil and gas industry, specifically to E&P company’s completions group



•                 Strong land completion operator relationships and contact list



•                 Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for a company other than their own.



•                 Proven successful track record in business development and technical sales.



•                 Strong English communication skills.



•                 Two to four years’ experience/contacts with land-based drilling contractor/drilling rig manufacturers.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:



•                 The work performed is conducted in a non-climate-controlled office with moderate noise levels that are within OSHA limits as well as being exposed to environmental conditions when visiting potential clients/customers.



•                 Must be able to lift 25 – 50 lbs.



•                 Must be able to walk, talk, sit, stand, and communicate verbally continuously throughout an 8-hour period
